E-Learning and Digital Culture. #edcmooc

“Digital learning in transition” course at North Carolina MOOCS, intrigued me by a new concept of transformation to the concept of changing many approaches of work and studying to use of technology and I was very interested to continue discussing about these ideas through the course “E-learning and Digital cultures” at the University of Edinburgh.
This course fully attracted my attention and thoughts during wonderful five weeks through communication on-line and discussion the topics about Technology in the past, in the future, the role of Humanity and Post humanism. Following this chronological timeline from an ancient time to the future, I was shocked that technology influences our life in the modern world  tremendously and  our work and studying depends in this years on computers, Internet, mobile phone, satellite, e-library, and e-learning.
I live in a city where many schools and Universities do not have a full set of computer laboratory and do not use it properly.  (http://animoto.com/play/9v5ZJ161QVWAfCRwsAUUEw )   At my school we have two computer laboratories with 27 computers, and all teachers and administrators use at their working place technological devices. All of our correspondence implemented through internal Chat and  e-mail. Syllabus at school that is done by administration and lesson plans by teachers we keep on Hard Drive disks and USB and we can’t imagine that changes can be done in handwriting.  I can’t imagine my classes at these days without PPT presentation, sharing of information through e-mail, chat, Internet, and teacher’s Blog and discussion online with my students through Nicenet site and wikispace.Parents of our students can have a chance to see the progress of their students online and through e-mail correspondence with them. All of these facts and others prove the idea that at these days education can’t be satisfactory without using ICT in teaching and learning.
During my studying in Michigan State University I could  see that all students fantastically use computers, e-library , everything that is so dynamically interesting and progressive from my point of view especially because I came from the country where a distance education is not usual approach in studying and not many students know how it can be realized. Webinars, video conferences, ooVoo, and Skype helped me to communicate with my home country and, my colleagues, and professors from around of the country.
At present time, I enjoy continuing my studying through online courses by distance education or just communication and cooperation and my life without computer, Internet, Mobile, Skype is not interesting any more…. If I consider 10 years time, I can see that there is  such big difference between non-technological life to Technological in all spheres- education, medicine, science, construction, and etc.
The role of technology in education is tremendous
http://prezi.com/27f1uqjdjbfj/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy   Our young generation will have new education and technology will better developed. This is a continuation in a  process.
At the same time, some experts consider that there are social problems in society, when people loose the meaning of face-to-face communication and can’t express their feelings. From my point of view, face-to-face some times is useful, but some times lead to a loose of time, as the main questions can be solved through communication. Arguing about this issue we can consider the topic of humanity that is a philosophical concept that includes our relationships, friendship, beliefs, love, and so on. If we consider evolution of human and technology in parallel, we can tell that the changes are obvious and the progress can be identified through analyses of life conditions. When we discussed through e-digital and learning culture course about post humanism and reality of human being evolution, I was surprised that technology can absolutely change our style of life, and some times not to positive aspects. Eventually It might negatively influences on human relationships, other psychological characteristics, and on humanism in whole concept.
It would be always concern about using technology in peaceful goals, for stability and development in society through art, music, science, etc and for better communication and progressive life in the world. However, we never know who and how it can be used.
Evolution is a process of changes, development, and adaptation to the struggling conditions of life. Technology also experienced transformation and changes from simple technological devices to a complex one, from old version of computer to the modern computer, transformation from old communication system to nanotechnology.  At the same time, it influences human life  by making it dependable on technology. Modification of different computers, mobile phones, etc. make our lifes are more comfortable and predictable in one way. Through the educational process people will learn better how to get knowledge and skills in order to use it effectively. From another side, we can never know about the negative effects of such kind influence and the consequences of it. The way how robots are made and how it was presented through different films is amazing by repetition of human behaviour that robots present.  As I mentioned previously,  humanity will be influenced by the role of technology  and future progress will influence the future of a human being as well as future of  technology, positively or negatively -this is an arguable question. According to the readings from our course I got in first time  idea that negative influence of technology on human and humanity can be broader than positive. http://prezi.com/cw58u7ybesuq/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy

At the end of the course, I come up to idea that at present days people can’t survive without technology, but it has to be evaluated by  effect that it has-positive or negative. Transformation to developed  technological equipment, narrow style of communication and discussion through online/ chat/skype, online education, etc will change our style of life, and in the future will transform a human being that influenced by technology.
